Course Fee: $25

The ERC provides the students an opportunity to sharpen their skills on their own motorcycle using a curriculum developed by the MSF. The one day class lasts approximately 6 hours and is conducted on the range. Advanced riding techniques are discussed and practiced under the guidance of the Rider Coaches.

ERC Classes can be scheduled for riding organizations (e.g. - H.O.G., GWRA, etc) upon request. A minimum of 8 registered riders is required to schedule a class. The maximum class size is 12 riders. Please contact Dan Bolinger at mcbblinger@yahoo.com to schedule an ERC class for your riding organization.

Successful completion of the ERC requires the following:

  • Attendance to all of the class

  • Participation in all of the range exercises

  • Riding skills evaluation

What you need to bring:

  • Over the ankle shoes or boots (high heels are not recommended as they will interfere with proper operation of controls)

  • Long pants (denim jeans)

  • Long sleeve shirt or jacket

  • Full fingered gloves

  • Eye protection (safety glasses or face shield on helmet)

  • DOT or SNELL certified motorcycle helmet (a limited supply of loaner helmets are available)

  • Valid motorcycle Beginner's Permit

  • Your motorcycle registration

  • Proof of insurance for your motorcycle

  • If you are "borrowing" a friends motorcycle you must have written permission or have them present.

  • Your motorcycle with at least 1/2 tank of gas and tires properly inflated.

  • A positive attitude!

NOTE: Classes are held “rain or shine” so a rain suit or extra clothes are highly recommended. Students will NOT be allowed to participate without a valid registration and proof of insurance.

Successful completion of the ERC earns the student a waiver for the riding test at the BMV to obtain their Motorcycle Endorsement.
